Slack-Pack

Service Description

Our slack-packing option includes a night's stay at Huckleberry's Hostel, breakfast, and the opportunity to slack-pack the entire Virginia Triple Crown. After camping overnight at Trout Creek (Mile Marker 697.0), we will pick up your packs in the morning and bring them back to the hostel. You will be provided with a small pack for your hike. You will then slack-pack over Dragon's Tooth and continue to the McAfee's Knob parking area, covering approximately 13 miles. We will pick you up afterward and bring you back for a restful night's stay at Huckleberry's. The next morning, after breakfast, you will be dropped back off at the McAfee's Knob parking area (Mile Marker 710.8). From there, you will slack-pack approximately 20 miles to the "BeeCh Hill" hostel (Mile Marker 731.7), where your original pack will be waiting for you. After arriving, you can choose to stay at the hostel or move on to another location for the evening. This option allows you to take your time and fully enjoy the Virginia Triple Crown.
